0485 Rubber Resin Adhesive

General Description

A solvent free rubber resin based hot melt adhesive. 0485 is supplied in amber colour in a strip form on an easily removed liner.

Applications   Jointing of plastic sheeting, filter membranes, damp proof membranes etc. Bonding lightweight insulation panels, kickplates etc. Mounting lightweight trim. Bonding of insulation walls. Joining of plastic sheeting. Fixing of edgings, sheeting, signs and tiles. Fixing roof bars on commercial vehicles. Fixing of carpets, decorative edging and board and trims.

Non-hardening and permanently flexible. Forms a strong waterproof bond. Excellent strength bond, and no curing time required. Solvent free, therefore no fumes. Ideal for uneven and difficult surfaces such as stucco, block walls and brickwork. Pre-formed to a choice of sizes. Versatile “instant stick” adhesive on a roll.

Double Sided Fingerlift Tapes – The following range of double sided tapes with an over-wide liner (for easy removal) is available: Typical dimensions: Tape width/Liner width: 6/12mm, 12/18mm, 24/30mm Length: up to 2000m in flat rolls and 6000m plus as bobbins
Tissue – plain or printed (remove to expose adhesive) liner 2065 / 2665
Features: Supplied with a permanent adhesive, this product is used in the manufacturer of continuous stationery/business forms, and for the flaps of envelopes to make them self-adhesive. Being a thicker tape it is ideal for difficult surfaces. The tape can be supplied in flat rolls up to 1500m long and in bobbins (spools) of up to 6000m.
Transfer – plain or printed (remove to expose adhesive) liner 2034 / 2634
Features: Can be supplied in flat rolls or Spooled Bobbins. Typical dimensions (liner/tape widths in mm) 6/12, 12/18, 18/24, 24/30.A tape based on a permanent adhesive. Same applications as for 2065/2665, but the tape is thinner, which keeps continuous stationary less bulky. Can be supplied in flat rolls of up to 2000m or in longer bobbins.
D/S Transfer Tape – Clear Plastic Liner 2074
Features: The same as 2034/2634, but supplied with a plastic liner for application to plastic bags (to make them self-seal), with the advantage that during bag manufacture a hot wire can cut through both the plastic bag and the tape at the same time.

Double Sided Tapes for mounting Printing Plates. Based on PVC, Film Composites and Foam. Printers engaged in the flexographic printing process require double sided Stereomounting Tapes, which mount rubber stereos to metal printing rollers. The industry requires these tapes in a range of thicknesses, depending on their particular set-up. There is also a range of thicker Foam based tapes suitable for very high speed printing machines. In use, the tapes offer the benefits of good adhesion and slippage resistance. After use, they can be removed from cylinders cleanly, without leaving residue.
